We spent our first weekend with the Smiths at Lake Cumberland on their houseboat 'Head Case.' Jay, Rita, Kim, Kathleen, Carson and I joined Smith and Denise on the their boat. George and Lois tied up with us, and had Ron and Joyce Atkins down to visit.
The weather was questionable at best. It would rain for an hour, then be windy yet sunny for the next. We tied up in Norman creek, which is about 30 minutes by runabout from Conley Bottom.
I took the Malibu down and it ran well, but got soaked. I did a couple runs, but the water was so rough that it was very hard to wakeboard. Kathleen and Carson went on their first ever tube ride. Denise pulled them behind a jet ski at about 5 mph.
They both did very well and learned the faster, slower and cut signs. Kathleen then rode the jet ski with me.
George and Lois had a floatation device that they called Gecko Island. The kids would run around in circles and jump in the middle into the water. It was a blast.
As always, I get my Sunday morning nap with the Cooper.
