Last Sunday we celebrated Carson, Nathan and Luke's birthdays at our house.  Everyone enjoyed themselves and the nice spread or chili, tortilla soup and of course plenty of brews. 

The Bengals lost of course, but everyone expected to lose to the Steelers.  It's been 6 years since we beat them at home!

Carson finally got his cast off.  He still favors his left arm, but he is starting to utilize his right again.  It is humorous to watch him as he forgets that the cast is not on.

Tim Hinkel, Jessica Campbell, Matt Hinkel and Greg Hinkel wont he open this year at a score of -4.  We ended up with 56 golfers, which was our limit and the pefrect number for Hartwell CC.  Grandpa Brunner, Kim, Beaver and I finished tied for 2nd with a score of -3.

With the support of the 100 people that either golfed or showed up afterward for the party, we raised $1200 for mom's scholarship fund.   This is a nice increase over the $1000 we raised last year.

The highlight of the day was Marty Meiners hole in one on Hole #2.  He took the flag home with him and had everyone there sign it.  I'm still waiting for my free shoes!

The rat pack was there consuming their favorite adult beverages like always.

I received this email today.  Yes, it has really gotten this bad.  We are back to being the Bungles or the Ben-Gals.  That brief shimmer of hope during our 11-5 season is gone.

Yes, I am getting old. 33 wonderful years and I could not be happier.  People say 35 is the number that you start slowing down, let's hope that is a lie as I'm quickly getting there! 

Jason, dad and their families joined us at Outback for a steak dinner.  The kids were relatively good, but got a bit uptight as we were there for 2 hours.  Katie Ernst was our server and hooked us up with a couple free brews!   Thanks everyone for the great presents and joining me for dinner.
